Mamiya ZD Camera Front

Mamiya ZD Camera Rear

Still boasting a 21.3 mega pixel Dalsa CCD sensor, the Mamiya ZD Back Double Buffer has twice the buffer memory of its predecessor and can shoot continuously for up to 22 frames. It is compatible with SD, CF I /CF II and SDHC cards. 35 custom function options can be displayed on the main LCD when used with the 645AFDIII. To distinguish between models, the "Mamiya ZD Back" logo is printed in red. Tethered shooting has been made easier with our new remote capture software, downloadable from this site.

The
Mamiya ZD Back Double Buffer digital camera is the first integrated medium format digital SLR camera. With its built-in 22 mega pixel CCD imaging sensor it produces sharp, high quality rich tones in a surprisingly light weight, compact body that resembles 35mm D-SLR cameras. Utilizing Mamiya's exclusive 14-bit A/D (Analog to Digital) converter, the 12-bit images are recorded at 1.5 fps, making it the fastest digital medium format camera. With its built-in 1.8 inch LCD imaging preview screen and tethered FireWire (IEEE1394) to Mamiya Digital Photo Studio software it provides the perfect solution for studio and/or on-location shoots. Simple but powerful, Mamiya's Digital Photo Studio software offers a complete image capture, processing and editing solution in both MAC and PC based computers. Best of all, the Mamiya ZD digital camera is fully compatible with all Mamiya 645AF lenses.

22 Megapixel CCD
The 36mm x 48mm Dalsa CCD imaging sensor contains 22 million active pixels (total 4008h x 5344v). The 14 bit A/D (Analog to Digital) conversion records color information as 12-bit per color channel, providing exceptional true-to-life color accuracy.

Fast ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit)
Data transfer from the Dalsa CCD sensor is processed in real- time with its exclusively designed Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). The advantage to the photographer is that image data captured from the sensor is optimized for fast performance. With a frame capture rate of 1.5 fps, it's the fastest 22 Mega pixel digital Medium format camera in the industry.

RAW & JPEG File Format
Images are captured in Mamiya RAW format, JPEG or both RAW and JPEG. Three levels of image quality alone with image size are easily selectable through the digital back's intuitive built-in software menus.

Dual Storage Card Slots
The Mamiya ZD provides card slots for SD, CF I /CF II and SDHC. Approximately 100 images in Mamiya RAW format can be stored onto a 4GB CF card.

Removable Low-Pass Filter
Utilizing an innovative cartridge type removable Low-Pass filter (optional) the Mamiya ZD digital back offers photographers a choice, depending on shooting conditions, whether to use the filter or not.

Mamiya Digital Photo Studio Software vSimple yet powerful Digital Photo Studio software provides the prefect blend of image capture, processing and editing for both MAC and Windows based computers. When connected to a computer via a 4-pin FireWire (IEEE1394) cable, many of the functions of the Mamiya ZD digital back can be operated from a computer.

Optional Detachable Low-pass Filter
You can shoot with or without the low-pass filter depending on shooting conditions.  The Mamiya ZD accepts an innovative cartridge type low-pass filter which makes it a snap to exchange the filters.

In No Way Inferior to Medium Format Film: 21.3 Mega-pixel CCD
The 36x48mm Dalsa imaging sensor, contains 22 million active pixels (Total 4056H x 5356V). Generates stunning high resolution images with both rich and smooth tonal ranges.  The 14 bit A/D (Analog to Digital) conversion records color information as 12-bit per color channel.
