NEW Hydrostat Ball Heads
are the first ball heads using hydraulics instead of a mechanical system to lock the ball. This produces a super-tight super-strong lock from a minimal turn of the locking knob, without sacricficing the smoothness of the ball's movement when unblocked. Designed to provide a light weight head but at the same time being able to support their heavy camera loads up to 16kg (35lbs)! Features independent pan and tilt locks with a 360° pan movement and +90° / -90° tilt movement. To keep weight low, the head is made of magnesium; and to provide smooth movements, the 2" aluminum ball is Teflon coated. For additional control, a calibrated adjustable tension knob allows you to preset the ball friction to suit your camera weight so that you can remove your hands from the camera without risking the camera falling. The oversized ball locking knob allows for easy control even when using gloves. Completing this masterpiece is a graduated engraved panoramic base and a choice of six different Hydrostat Ball Head versions with fixed or quick-release camera attachment systems.
