Gitzo 6X Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs
Carbon 6X Carbon Fiber is manufactured using a complex, 3-D process weaving 6 layers of carbon fiber into smooth, solid tubes. Gitzo was able to develop a 1mm six-crossed multilayer carbon fiber 30 percent lighter than the previous 1.5mm generation that features the same exceptional performance of stability and vibration absorption and unbeatable quality.

All Carbon 6X Tripods feature Performance Legs which can be spread individually at angles of 24°, 55° and 90° or greater. The new G-lock - or gravity lock mechanism represents Gitzo's evolution of the twist lock system. The completely revised locks are faster, stronger and 20 percent more rigid than standard twist locks.All Carbon 6X Tripods in Series 1 and higher are provided with removable rubber feet. This feature allows you to change worn out rubber feet or to fit either spiked feet or snow/sand shoes. (4 sections tripods in Series 1 are excluded because the final leg section is too narrow to fit these ends).

All Carbon 6X Tripods feature Anti-Rotation Leg (ALR) system makes it quick and easy to open and close the tripod. Simply turn all of the locking rings at once and the whole leg can be pulled out in seconds.

All Carbon 6X Tripods feature a redesigned Hook located on the bottom of the center column is now spring-loaded and retractable. It provides a place to hang a stabilizing counterweight such as camera, sand or water bags.
