The New Hasselblad H1 is a 645 AF system built jointly in Sweden and Japan using lenses made by Fuji.
The Auto-Focus system features a touch sensitive overide enabling manual focusing without switching from the auto-focus mode.

The Hasselblad H1 body is made of an aluminum core surrounded by a solid stainless steel housing.
It is crammed with electronics featuring a customizable program that allows you to store your preferred shooting scenarios.
These stored settings are then called 'profiles'.
You access the preferred profile with button controls located on the grip.Hasselblad H1 Camera Kit

The H1 compares nicely to advanced 35mm AF cameras with it's ergonomic layout and right hand operating grip. Loading is by auto pre-wind to the first frame. A Barcode Film Reading System automatically detects the film speed.
Exposure is single frame or continuous and can be triggered by either grip, cable, IR remote, self-timer, or interval timer (1s to 24hrs).
There is a customizable data-imprinting feature.
The user can specify exposure data or date and time and generic text,
including the photographer's name and copyright symbol.

There is a built-in fill flash, removable battery grip, LCD display panel and a built in dark slide,

Initially there will be a choice of 120/220 film magazines, Instant Film (HM1) and of course, Digital Backs from 3rd party suppliers.
The HM 16-32 takes either 16 or 32 frames using either 120 or 220 film.
It is equipped with an LCD display, built in dark slide recognition, and battery powered memory.
Barcode film recognition is built in.Kodak 645H Digital Back

Kodak has simultaneously introduced a dedicated digital back called
the Kodak DCS Pro Back 645H.
The 645H is fully compatible with the new Hasselblad H1 camera system
and delivers 16 megapixels of resolution.
The 645H is portable with a built-in power supply, LCD monitor and storage slots.
The 645H has a user selectable ISO sensitivity range of 100 to 400. The suggested U.S. list price is $11,995.00.

There are 7 HC lens shutter (electronic leaf shutter) lenses introduced with the H1.
Flash sync is all the way up to the top speed of 1/800 of a second.
There is also a fully integrated built in TTL fill flash.

All HC lenses have electronic shutter mechanisms and feature Multi Coating.
Also on board is an integral focus drive motor.
The HC lenses are said to use metal, not plastic, wherever possible, in order to ensure their reliability and durability. Lenses from your old system are not interchangeable although there will probably be an adapter.

Thankfully, all lenses use threaded filters.
Also included are lens shade and bayonet mount Hoods which can be reverse mounted for transport.

The camera body comes supplied with a Sperical Acute-Matte D type Focusing screen called the HS-Standard (3043305)
It features central markings for spot (Ø7.5 mm) and the AF metering area. A grid version is available seperately.
